Jessica Brzozowski, APRN, PMHNP

Jessica is a compassionate and skilled Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner with over a decade of experience in Austin. As the owner and clinical director of GAPW, she is dedicated to providing holistic mental health care. She holds a Master of Science in Nursing from The University of Texas at Austin and has honed her expertise in various settings, including inpatient hospitals, substance use treatment centers, and private practice.

Jessica specializes in ketamine-assisted psychotherapy, offering a safe and supportive environment for individuals seeking relief from treatment-resistant conditions. She also provides comprehensive psychiatric evaluations, medication management, and brief psychotherapeutic interventions tailored to each individual’s needs. Her approach is grounded in evidence-based practices, emphasizing collaboration, empowerment, and practical solutions. She is passionate about helping individuals navigate a range of mental health challenges, with a particular focus on psychotic disorders, bipolar disorders, complex trauma, PTSD, and substance use disorders.

Outside of her professional life, Jessica enjoys spending time with her kids and pets, as well as in nature, hiking, and exploring new restaurants. She is also passionate about social justice and volunteering in her community.

Nicole McLain

Nicole McLain APRN, PMHNP

Nicole joined Greater Austin Psychiatry and Wellness this past year, bringing over 17 years of experience in psychiatric care. Throughout her career, she has worked in various healthcare settings, including inpatient, outpatient, and community healthcare. Nicole is dedicated to helping patients achieve their mental health goals and enhance their overall well-being. She believes in taking a holistic approach to mental health care, providing a well-rounded perspective that considers the individual’s unique circumstances and needs.

An LGBTQIA+ ally, Nicole strives to create a supportive and safe space for all individuals seeking care. She is passionate about fostering an inclusive environment where everyone feels heard, understood, and respected. With a clinical focus on depression, anxiety, bipolar, and psychotic disorders, Nicole offers expert and compassionate care tailored to each individual’s specific needs. She understands the complexities of these conditions and works collaboratively with her patients to develop personalized treatment plans. Nicole specializes in the treatment of adults aged 18+ and offers both telemedicine and in-person appointments, providing flexibility and accessibility to her patients.

Nicole Nelson

Nicole Nelson, APRN, PMHNP

Nicole is a skilled and compassionate board-certified Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) who provides high-quality mental health care to her clients. Nicole joined the private practice sector after previously providing psychiatric treatment to underserved individuals in Travis County. Her approach to treatment is focused on honoring individuals’ unique perspectives and needs in a nonjudgmental, collaborative, and safe setting.

Nicole is passionate about meeting people where they’re at, and believes that each individual’s journey toward mental wellness is unique. With expertise in diagnosing and treating a range of conditions, including anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, psychosis, PTSD, and ADHD, she combines medication management with brief supportive psychotherapy to help clients improve their mental health.

Nicole’s practice is enhanced by her educational background at UT Austin and UC Berkeley, where she received her Master’s in Nursing and Bachelor’s in Psychology. Nicole’s investigative and curious approach to understanding her clients is supported by her past roles in psychological research, including her time assisting with a study at Harvard University intended to identify factors that predict suicide and self-harm.

Nicole treats adults (age 18+) and offers telemedicine and in-person appointments.

Sana Powell

Sana Powell, APRN, PMHNP

Sana is a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner at Greater Austin Psychiatry and Wellness, where she provides compassionate care through comprehensive medication management and brief psychotherapy for children, adolescents, and adults. Her practice is rooted in a culturally sensitive, trauma-informed, and evidence-based approach. As a Christian, Indian-American woman, mother, and LGBTQIA+ affirming provider, Sana brings a deeply inclusive perspective to her work, ensuring that the unique needs of each patient are understood and respected.

Sana holds a Master of Science in Nursing from the University of Texas at Austin and is particularly interested in the treatment of depression, anxiety, ADHD, and trauma-related disorders.

Her background as a Licensed Professional Counselor, with over five years of experience serving diverse populations, further enhances her holistic approach to mental health care. She also earned a Master of Arts in Mental Health Counseling & Behavioral Medicine from Boston University School of Medicine.

Committed to promoting the overall wellness of both mind and body, Sana strives to build strong, therapeutic relationships that honor each individual’s identity and worldview.

Outside of her clinical work, she is an author and wellness educator who is passionate about destigmatizing and raising awareness around mental health. In her free time, she enjoys exploring Austin’s walking trails with her family, reading, and indulging in episodes of The Great British Bake Off.

Sana currently sees individuals aged 6 and older, providing convenient and flexible care through both in-person and telehealth video appointments.

Alma Nevarez

Alma Nevarez, APRN, PMHNP

Alma is a board certified psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner specializing in the treatment and management of mood and anxiety disorders, bipolar disorder, OCD, and ADHD with special interest in working with individuals who have experienced trauma and PTSD. She sees individuals 14 years of age and older. In her spare time, Alma enjoys working out, spending time with her dog (Rogue), time with her family and friends, and being an avid Texas Tech Red Raider.

Bennie Anyabine

Bennie Anyabine, PMHNP

Bennie is a Board Certified Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner with over 21 years of Experience in Mental Health Nursing. Bennie Spent decades serving the underserved while working at the Austin State Hospital and at Travis County Juvenile Court. She also worked at Private Residential Treatment Faculties like the Oaks Treatment Center where care was centered around Juveniles needing in patient Treatment for various mental health disorders.

Bennie specializes in treatment of patients across the Lifespan with special focus on individuals between the ages 12- 65 years old.  Mental health Disorders covered include Schizophrenia Spectrum Disorders and other psychotic Disorders, Bipolar and Related Disorders, Depressive Disorders, Anxiety Disorders, Obsessive Compulsion and Related Disorders amongst others.

Jamie Reid

Jamie Reid, PMHNP

Jamie Reid is a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC) with extensive nursing experience. She specializes in the treatment and management of mood and anxiety disorders, trauma and PTSD, and substance use disorders. Jamie is dedicated to providing compassionate, evidence-based care to adults, offering both in-person and virtual consultations to meet the needs of her patients.

With a passion for improving mental well-being, Jamie combines her clinical expertise with a holistic approach to help patients navigate their mental health challenges and achieve lasting recovery.

In her free time, Jamie enjoys reading, seeing live music, and spending time with her husband, daughter, Australian shepherd and black cat.

Dalwinn Kim, APRN PMHNP

Dale is a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner with over six years of experience in mental health nursing. He specializes in the treatment and management of adult psychiatric disorders, to include depression and anxiety disorders, sleep disturbance disorders, trauma and PTSD, bipolar disorders, schizophrenia-spectrum disorders, ADHD, OCD, and substance use disorders.

Dale is dedicated to providing comprehensive, patient-centered care to adults aged 18 and older, offering both in-person and telehealth appointments to ensure accessible, flexible care for his patients.

Dale earned his Bachelor of Science in Nursing from UT Health San Antonio and his Master of Science in Nursing from Texas Tech Health Science Center. As a board-certified PMHNP, Dale utilizes a holistic, evidence-based approach to mental health care. His practice emphasizes collaboration with patients and other healthcare providers to develop personalized treatment plans and promote autonomy. Dale integrates medication management, psychotherapy, and other complementary approaches to support each patients unique journey toward mental wellness.

In addition to his clinical work, Dale proudly serves in the Army Reserves, with 18 years of dedicated service. This experience informs his disciplined yet compassionate approach to patient care and provides him with a unique understanding of the mental health challenges faced by service members and veterans.

Outside of work, Dale enjoys board games, learning how to play pickleball, or spending time with his two very large and lovable cats, Pancake and Waffles.

Shannon Clarke

Shannon Clarke, PMHNP

Shannon Clarke is a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) with over a decade of experience in the mental health field. Shannon specializes in the treatment and management of psychiatric disorders, including ADHD, anxiety, mood, and thought disorders. Her practice combines evidence-based medication management with supportive, solution-focused interventions. She also incorporates nutrition and complementary therapies when appropriate, recognizing the essential connection between mind and body in overall well-being.

With a collaborative and individualized approach, Shannon meets each client where they are—tailoring care to their unique needs, preferences, and goals. Whether someone is navigating a life transition or managing long-standing mental health challenges, she provides practical tools, compassionate support, and a safe, nonjudgmental space for healing and growth.

Shannon treats adults ages 18 and older and offers appointments  in-person and via telehealth.
